Engineering Authority Meets Sourcing Expertise

I Built Nexus Procurement to Solve the "No Chinese Suppliers" Dilemma

For many US procurement professionals, "No Chinese Suppliers" is a safety blanket. I understand why. Without boots on the ground, the risk of non-compliance, material defects, or communication breakdowns feels too high. But in a global economy, bypassing the world’s largest manufacturing center is becoming an impossible strategy.

I created Nexus Procurement to replace that fear with engineering validation.

My story is the foundation of this business. Born and raised in China, I earned my degree in Mechanical Engineering at Huazhong University of Science and Technology. I speak the language of the shop floor natively. But I didn't stop there. I moved to Canada on a full scholarship to earn my M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering, eventually started my engineer career as a field engineer commissioning bitumen facilities and pipelines in the frozen north.

Over the next 16 years, I grew from a field engineer to a Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng & PE), working for large engineering firms like Stantec and WSP. I moved to California in 2016, rising from Senior Project Engineer to Assistant Vice President. I have managed the detailed design of pump stations, compressor stations, and complex pipeline networks across North America.

I have sat in your chair. I know the pressure of reviewing MTRs, worrying about code compliance (ASME/CSA), and demanding perfection for critical infrastructure. Nexus is the culmination of that journey: 22 years of Chinese roots, 8 years of Canadian rigor, and 10 years of US leadership. I don't just find you suppliers; I validate them for you.
